Noah Magnus is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. His work lies at the crossroads of tonality, counterpoint, avant-garde experimentation, rock and folk music, and theatricality.

Recent performances include premieres with the New Music Theatre Project, LOTUS Quartet, Random Access Music, Opera on Tap, Sputter Box, Hyacinthus Duo, the North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA), the United States Navy Band Saxophone Symposium, and the Cortona Sessions for New Music. Upcoming is the premiere of his Jazz Big Band Concerto in the 2026 season.

As an educator, Noah was the graduate assistant of music theory at Butler University, receiving a full scholarship. He has taught at Grace Music Center, and Music & Arts, and currently maintains a private studio. Noah believes that when students feel engaged and excited about their work, they grow in confidence and carry with them lasting, life-shaping lessons that music uniquely offers.

Noah holds an M.M. in Composition from Butler University, where he studied with Dr. Michael Schelle, and a B.Mus. from the Brooklyn College Conservatory. He has also studied with Dr. Dalit Warshaw, Polina Nazaykinskaya, and Dr. Douglas Cohen.
